The Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 140, will host a fundraising spaghetti and meatball dinner from 4-8 p.m. March 30 at the American Legion Post 151 on Wawayanda Avenue in Middletown. The meal will include spaghetti and meatballs, salad, bread and dessert. Pre-sale tickets are $8, and $10 at the door. Tickets for ages 6-12 are $4. For early-bird tickets for adults, call Charlie Czochanski at 674-6643. VVA Chapter 140 is a great group. They’ve been faithful members of the VVA and they’re among the leaders who take seriously the motto, “no one left behind.” Whenever I write about veterans, it takes very little, but it means a lot, to mention our Vietnam veterans and to thank them for their military and community service. They’ll be helping with every aspect of the dinner. That’s the way they work together and help each other. They’ll also make you feel very welcome.
