Most might imagine a soldier’s account of a year spent in a hellish combat zone would be hard to stomach. But, Jolliff said, “I write in a fun way, kind of like MASH. I don’t dwell on the dark. I was a frontline combat medic and I made it home. I make jokes about it because I didn’t get killed. That’s how I came through it,” he said.
Jolliff also brings his unique blend of humor to his hobby, which is magic. As a way of giving something back to the community, he performs free comedy/magic shows at the VFW, area retirement homes, for corporate gatherings and even birthday parties.
Frank will speak about his book and experiences at the Valerie Theatre on Saturday, January 25 at 7:30pm. This event is Free and open to the public, however, seating is limited to the first 150.
