The Michigan State Police Alpena Post invites all to participate in its fifth annual Blue Goose drive fundraiser. For an eight hour period, come to fill a trooper's patrol car with unwrapped toys and non-perishable food. The car will be located at Walmart and Neiman’s Family Market to collect the donationas. Prior to the event, donations can be given in Alpena at the Michigan State Police Alpena Post, located at 3283 W. Washington Avenue. The food will be distributed to those in need by the Salvation Army in Alpena. The unwrapped toys will be distributed to those in need in Alcona, Alpena, Montmorency, and Presque Isle counties by VVA Chapter 583.
