Benton County Veterans Memorial event, 2 p.m., south lawn, National Guard Armory, 1100 NW Kings Blvd., Corvallis. Pre-program music directed by Dow Zeh starts at 1:30. The keynote speaker will be retired Col. James Lyman, a 1978 Oregon State University Army ROTC graduate who served 36 years, primarily in construction and facility management. The flag of honor recipient will be Francis William Gerding, Army veteran of the Battle of the Bulge.
