Veterans Stories United
Traveling Film Festival Official Launch
One night — THREE great films!
KALANI’S STORY (27 minutes) is the first installment of a series of films by Frederick Marx called VETERANS JOURNEY HOME, highlighting the roads less traveled by Veterans to achieve successful transition back into civilian life. Captain Kalani Creutzburg faced manic depression, homelessness, multiple divorces, and three attempted suicides after leaving his beloved Marine Corps before finally discovering the rejuvenating power of emotionally authentic sharing circles and setting course on his new mission in life.
A PERMANENT MARK (60 minutes) is a feature-length documentary by Holly Million that integrates the story of Americans exposed to Agent Orange with the story of Vietnamese people also exposed to the herbicide. Official world premiere of the film
VISION FAST (10 minutes of clips) A feature documentary in progress by Frederick Marx, these ten minutes of rough-cut excerpts are from a story about 12 veterans who participated in a land-based rite of passage ceremony in northeastern Washington in May 2018. This is the first time any of this material will be seen publicly!
