The Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs is honored to host a commemoration of the 50th
anniversary of the end of the Vietnam War. Our vision for this event is that Minnesota’s Vietnam
Veterans feel honored, respected and appreciated, and actively make use of the resources available to
them improve their quality of life. The commemoration will:
• Provide an opportunity for healing by thanking and honoring Minnesota Vietnam-era Veterans
wherever they served
• Highlight the service of the Armed Forces during the Vietnam War
• Recognize the contributions and sacrifices made by allies of the United States during the
Vietnam War, especially those who have made Minnesota their home
Who: Vietnam Veterans and their families, allies of the United States during the Vietnam War
(especially those who have made Minnesota their home) and all Minnesotans to thank our Veterans
When: Thursday, June 13 – Saturday, June 15, 2024
Time: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Where: Mall of America, North Entrance and Atrium, Bloomington, MN
What:
• Resource Fair/Information Tables providing a “one-stop shop’ for Vietnam Veterans and their
families seeking information on VA and MDVA benefits and community services
• Historical displays from the Minnesota Military and Veterans Museum
• American Veterans Traveling Tribute Wall
• Commemorative Program on Friday, June 14 at 11 a.m. in the Mall of America Huntingdon
Bank Rotunda followed by a complimentary brunch for Vietnam Veterans and their families
No RSVP required.
We are seeking organizations to participate in the Resource Fair. Please let us know if your organization
would like to reserve a space.
We are currently working on transportation plans for those in greater MN. Hotel accommodations at
your own expense will also be reserved for those interested in staying for multiple days. Watch for more
